Jeanne de Navarre is ruling queen of Navarre, as well as queen consort of France through her marriage to King Philippe of France. Having arrived at the French court aged two, and wedding Philippe at the age of just 11 in 1284, Jeanne has spent most of her life around the French royal family. She is a resourceful and often underestimated political influence, going unnoticed by many for her gender, youth and plain appearance. She and Philippe have a strong relationship, and the King often relies on the Queen for her judgement.
